stills in transit is a photoblog project consisting entirely of photographs taken inside the new york city subway stations. all the images are taken at various hours while i wait for the train and are categorized by the stations where the photos are taken. for me, this project is about seeking and seeing possibilities and potentials for beauty in everyday places.
Describe the main purpose of your blogging, what are you trying to accomplish?
the idea for stills in transit was inspired when i decided to see my stations’ surroundings in different light and creatively use the brief period of time before my train’s arrival. since then, this search for serendipitous compositions of lines, colors, and textures has become a regular part of my commuting experience. this project has transformed my relationship to the physical space that was rarely appreciated before (least of all for its inspirational potential), and i hope that this photoblog will nudge you to see your surroundings with curiosity and creativity during your next commute.

wordpress. it is user-friendly and widely used.

as it is a photoblog devoted to images from nyc subway stations, i post photos from my commutes almost daily.
